Polka Dot French Tip Nail Art Tutorial

Today, I'll be showing you how to do this polka dot French tip nail art.

First, I'll show you all the supplies you will need to complete this look.

Supplies:

   - Dotting Tool
   - 2 Different Shades of Nail Polish
   - Clear Top Coat

You don't have to use the same colors I used for my manicure, but if you want to, here they are.

Jordana - White

Essie - Bikini So Teeny

Sally Hansen - Crystal Clear

Now for the tutorial...

Step 1:

Paint four of your nails one color, and one accent nail the other color.

I applied two coats to each nail for better coverage.

Step 2:

Use your dotting tool to apply polka dots to the tips of each nail, using the opposite color of the base coat.

If you've never used a doting tool before or would like tips about using them, I'll be writing a blog about them that will be up later tonight.

Step 3:

Apply your clear top coat to set and prolong the manicure.

And that is the finished manicure! I hope you enjoyed trying this out and I would LOVE to see how your polka dot french tip manicure turned out.

New Product

Last week, I ordered some amazing dotting tools from Amazon. They came in a pack of 5 double sided tools with 6 different sized tips. Each are a different color and have a cool spiral design. The best part -- they were only $2!
Great bargain.

I absolutely love these tools. I've already used them for some polka dot mani-pedi designs.

They are such a great product to have of you love nail art. I completely recommend purchasing a set of these dotting tools. There is just so much you can use these for! Maybe there will be a series of tutorials using these tools...

Ombré Nails

So I tried out these Cotton Candy colored ombré nails today. Just letting you know it does take some practice (I had to redo my index and ring fingers three times). If ANY of you want a tutorial I'd be glad to put one up for you. Just leave a comment and I'll be sure to upload a tutorial.

Apologies

I am SO SO sorry for welcoming you all to a lifeless blog. I truly meant to write some posts but since this is my first week of summer I have been slacking off everything (literally everything). I promise there will be at LEAST one post by the end of next week. Promise. :)

Welcome

I'd like to kindly welcome each viewer that has come to this page. I've created this blog with the intent of sharing random tidbits of information about anything and everything (hence the title). Some things you'll most likely see on this page are:
  1. tutorials - whether they be for nails, hair, crafts, etc.
  2. opinions - about, again, anything and everything.
    • Although I am not very verbal with my opinions in person, for fear of criticism or conflict or just 'cause I'm a naturally quiet person, I doubt I'll have a problem speaking my mind to a computer screen.
  3. experiences - maybe I'll feel like sharing an exciting or completely random event that occurs.
So basically anything and everything is up for discussion, as you'll soon see.
Hope you enjoy!
